n the last few months I have had the pleasure of working for San Francisco based start-up Coderwall. In that short time we have completely re-designed and re-thought the whole front end and user experience of the site.
The process started with discussion and producing wire-frames that described new features and our ideas on how users would interact with the site in the future. These ideas were then fleshed out, refined and turned into working code. We have had some great feedback so far on the new look and feel of the site.
But it is by no means finished, the site is in a constant state of improvement and refinement with new features being worked on and added all the time. In recent weeks we have added a way for users to share content, called Pro Tips. To launch Pro Tips we invited some of the best web developers around to share images of their workspaces, otherwise known as ‘hackerdesks‘.
One of my favorite pages to design so far was the new network leader board, as I got to have some fun with illustrations. Check out a full size image.
There are lots of new features in the pipeline, so far it’s been awesome to be able to work on such a fun project with a great community of developers, designers and thinkers behind it.
More to come!
